Tracfone Phones

Tracfone, unlike other prepaid mobile phone companys, actually has some pretty decent phones. They have phones from Motorolla, such as the V3 Razor, and some really good Nokia's.

The Nokia offerings are not as trendy or new as the Motorolla products, but in my experience Nokia's are very, very reliable. I actually dropped my Nokia XpressMusic in the water last week and after letting it dry for a week, it works just like new. The Nokia 3595 was also one of their legendary phones. They are the honda's or toyota's of mobile phones (read: not the porches :-P), and you really can't kill em.

If your looking for a prepaid company with good phones, I'd really recommend Tracfone. They are the oldest prepaid company in the United States and one of the most reliable and stand up companys. Virgin Mobile (trust me, I worked there) is very shady and is all about giving it to the customer (in the bad way, not the good way). Boost Mobile is also a bit shady, but Tracfone is honestly the most stand up one. They have a great replacement policy on their phones, and they will work with you to get a new phone out.

If your looking for free phones for tracfone, you might want to check their website and local major electronics retailers such as Best Buy or even Wal-Mart. You can often find phones bundled with the prepaid cards, making the phone essentially free.

Free Tracfone Minutes

Getting free tracfone minutes is almost as easy as getting free ringtones.

You can get free Tracfone minutes, like the ringers, by receiving a promotion in your mail or through a text message from tracfone. If you haven't added money to your tracphone in a couple months, your probably going to receive something in the mail offering you some free minutes when you add more minutes...

Another easy way to get free minutes for your tracfone is to keep an eye out at retailers like Wal-mart or best buy. I have seen on numerous occasions that Best Buy will have "buy one, get one half off" promotions on tracfone cards. The cards come in 60, 120, 250, and 400 unit blocks, but in my experience the only ones offered at half price are the 60 unit and 120 unit cards.

You can also try some of the codes listed below, but I have not had a chance to check these codes yet, so the promotional codes and coupons listed may or may not work still. If you use one of these codes, and it works for you, please post up. Also add a comment if you find one that isn't working so that I can remove it. My friend assures me that some of these codes are still working.

Free Tracfone Ringtones

Tracfone Codes puts money in your wallet by helping you find free ringtones and promotional minute codes for tracfone.

Tracfone ringtones can be aquired in a variety of ways, such as through frequent mailings by tracfone to their customers, or through sites such as this one. Your friends may also receive codes you didnt receive, and many times these codes work on more than one account.

Besides using a promo code for your tracfone, you can also get new ringtones by adding a web browsing plan to your phone and then upload a ringtone to the internet, and by typing the exact location of the ringtone (for example: www.putfile.com/newrington.midi).

Another way of getting free tracfone ringtones onto your phone is by purchasing or using the USB data cord that came with your phone. You can take this data cord and hook it up to your computer, and than hook it up to your tracfone, allowing you to transfer the ringtone from your computer to your phone! This is the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to get new ringers for your new tracphone.
